Nolan O’Dell

Nolan O’Dell is a scenic designer and educator who takes great pride in his collaborations with other theatre artists and the work he has done nurturing and training young designers.

Working in multiple styles and genres, Nolan has spent his career exploring ways to augment the theatrical experience by supporting the directorial vision through sensitivity to scale, color, texture, and focus-providing composition. He fuses a painterly sensibility with an acute understanding of architectural form and function.

Nolan has worked in regional and educational theatre for over twenty years, combining his strong work ethic, love of communal story telling, and dedication to the theatrical collaborative process with innovative use of technology and visually appealing staging techniques.
